I am in a 3 year relationship, and 4 months ago we decided to take a break, and she moved away. She also has 2 kids that love me, and they want me to be their dad. After 2 months we decided that we did want to be together. So, in the last 2 months we have been planning for her to move back very soon. We were planning our lives, and everything seemed perfect. She had a friend at work, that she confided in about our relationship, and she said there was no attraction to him, and no flirting. Well 2 weeks ago, she got off early, and he asked her if she wanted to go over for drinks, and to hang out. They both ended up getting drunk, and they slept together. I checked her phone records, and she never talked to this guy outside of work before. She keeps crying and saying that she doesn't know why she did it. She quit her job, and wants to move back with me. I still love her and want to have a life with her, but I am bothered that our relationship is tainted, and angry that she didn't say no.

nope, no second chance....after the second time she will cry some more and say.."i dont know why i KEEP doing this".. bunch of crap....if they do it once they will always be at risk to do it again...it only shows a weak mind and lack of self control.

As for Just Me's answer, tigers have stripes not spots-
It's really not black and white. If you love somebody it's hard to let them go. Even if they hurt you. Can you get over it? You know her better than any of us do. Do you think she's capable of doing it again. Nothing is sure in this life. People do make mistakes and they can change. There's no guarantee that anyone else you end up with won't do the same thing. So really, you need to decide how much you love her, forgive her, and believe her.

She'll be a stronger person for it, I'm sure she regrets it more than anyone. Sometimes you have to do things wrong before you can do things right. It seems like an immature error, like a kid stealing from a store. Likewise, I'm sure there is no way in hell a reasonable adult would steal from a store even if there was no way of getting caught. Put it behind you and burry it, it's not like she did it while you were living together.

Give her another chance,she sounds genuinely sorry,i don't think drink is an excuse but she knows she screwed up and she hasn't been contacting him,so it does sound like just one one time.We are all entitled to make mistakes as long as it doesn't happen again,And make sure you can forgive,there is no point on letting her back if you cant get past what she did,good luck
