He learned to hate jews from his father

I do not believe he does not like Jews. He just cannot fully understand why a Jew like Jesus cannot be accepted by the Jews and even caused his death. He (Mel) really did not completely understand the words of God in the Old Testament to comapre it with what Jesus do as it was written in the New Testament.

It seems to be popular that Jews are supposedly responsible for our world problems. If there were suddenly no more Jews who would be next? I had heard that the Jews were responsible for guarding a major secret about our existence. What would happen to their power and control over the world if it was no longer a secret?Yeah, Mel got drunk so get over it.

It probably has something to do with conflicts he's had in the movie industry. Afterall, his huge religious epic was produced and paid for by his own money. He's probably run into problems getting financial or artistic support from industry Jews.

Because he was raised in a home of ultra-Traditionalist, ultra-Conservative Roman Catholicism, which doesn't accept Vatican II. Vatican II was the council which removed the Jews as murderers of Jesus.

You have to remember that he was extremely wasted when he made those remarks. I'm not trying to stick up for him, or even say that it was ok; because it wasn't. I've gotten so drunk that I did and said things that weren't like me at any stretch of imagination. So, who knows; but probably not.

Fanatics like him insist Jews are terrible because they killed Jesus but since the meat of his religion is that Jesus DIED... FOR his sins, shouldn't he be thanking them?

I think he thinks the Jews caused the impending apocalypse by killing Jesus.
