it's my friend's dog, she says it's a chihuahua, but I think the seller has deceived her or something, I don't think he's a chihuahua. he weighs 13 pounds and looks like a mini pin. what kind of dogs do you think he is?

Tell you friend to get a pair of glasses. That's no chihuahua, thats a mix breed. A chihuahua that weighs 13 pounds is like a roach that weighs 10 pounds, it does not exist but only in your nightmares.

No. He looks like a Chihuahua terrier mix, and I could be wrong on that, still that is not a full blooded Chihuahua. For one thing he does not have that characteristic domed head and those large round eyes that Chihuahuas are known to have.

I think that is a chihuahua and mini pin mix . did she purchase this dog? If so take it to the vet and ask the vet and if the vet says it is a mixed breed then the breeder misrepresented the dog and your friend can get her money back by taking the breeder to court . good luck and god bless and happy holidays.

I own five Chihuahuas. This particular dog, does not look like a full bred Chihuahua. It looks more like a Miniature Pinscher.

That's not a pure-bred chi. Looks like part min-pin to me as well. And there is no such thing as a "standard" chihuahua weighing 6-14 lbs. Maybe she got it from the "breeder" who posted above me.

if that's a chihuahua, then i'm the pope. it looks a lot like a manchester terrier/min-pin cross. her best bet would be to take the dog to a breeder and find out for sure. if i'm right, then your friend can get a full refund and still be able to keep her new little clown!! :P

did he come with any papers? not like it really matters, you can get papers on any dog, but just curious. looks like a min pin mix to me. some chihuahua's have black and tan markings, but that face is min pin. might be a chihuahua/min pin mix. hope she didn't pay for a purebred? i would turn the breeder in.

i use to breed Chihuahua's there are 3 types of Chihuahua's... standard which weighs between 6 to 14 lbs ....and tea cups that weigh up to 6lb's and mix breed that weigh any weight depending on what it was bred with ... colour doesn't matter there are so many colour variations to even mention i had brindle,red,fawn, tans, whites, blacks, black/tan etc etc u name it ....most likely it's a chihuahua or mix... but then again i looked at the pic to me it does look like a chihuahua but does it have it's tail docked ?? normally u don't dock the tail if it's a chihuahua..

He looks like a chihuahua to me!
There are apple-heads and deer-heads. He is a deer head that is why he does not look like a chihuahua to you.
