A priest is on a boat. The boat starts to sink. He prays, "Lord save me from drowning." A plane from the Coast Guard appears and offers to rescue him. The priest says, "I have faith that God will save me" and the plane disappears. The priest prays the same thing again and a boat appears and offers to rescue him. The priest refuses and says the same thing. Finally, a helicopter flies overhead after the third request. The priest dies and goes to Heaven. He asks God when he gets there, why didn't you rescue me?
God's answer? "I sent you an airplane, a boat, and a helicopter, what did you expect?"

I love it. And isn't blasphemous - kind of reminds people that God expects people to help themselves.
