I believe that most of Christianity can not be explained and that is why I am not a christian. I think most things seemed to be borrowed or made up!

If you were on the path of the Crusaders it would have been the way to go.

Actually its not borrowed or made up, but it is incomplete. Well over a hundred of the books of the Bible were excluded from the King James edition. the resulting editions have been altered to suit the needs of the editor. By now the more modern editions are a far cry from what should be in there.

Actually, Christianity can be explained. Looking for apologetics? Try a quick Google search or a look into a Lee Strobel book. Bible "contraditions"? They've all been answered; I can send you links. Creation vs. evolution? There are hundreds of resourses written by intelligent, knowlegeable theologists and thinkers available. I hope that you will take a bit of time to look for explanations. I'm always happy to help! :)

Christianity is neither borrowed nor made up, again, there's a lot of historical and archeological evidence to back it up.

Is Christianity the way to go? For me it is. It wasn't a blind leap of faith on my part, it was truly a life-changing step from despair into hope. I sincerely hope that you will get in touch with someone who has answers to your questions, so that you can check it out for yourself. :) Below, I've listed some resources for you to look at.

Read the original teachings of Christ which where hidden with the original followers of Christ who had to go into hiding due to being killed by the government at the time of Christ. The teachings have been found and are now available in English Edited by Alan Wauters and Rick Wyhe. It is called the Gospel of the Nazirenes. go to gospelofthenazirenes. for complete details if you are a seeker of truth. Truth is Universal and will set one free. Also Read Bhagavad Gita As it is By Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada go to krishnaculture. for complete details. on Krishna Consciousness. Thank you for your sincere question

I can see why you would think that. I was an athiest for some time for those same reasons among other things. When I went on a bit of spiritual journey after a few years, I said I would never go back to Christianity either way.

Hah.. I'm now in the process of joining the LDS Church.

But you need to practice whatever makes you content and happy. Whatever gives you guidance.

Peace.

It is a religion i was raised with and i think that most are christians because they were just in fact raised in the church and it's just something you do. Whether or not it's real? Personal decision that i will not answer. I have doubts. the gospels that most christians preach from were designed for an audience kind of like a salesman trying to sell you a car. Whether or not is real is entirely up to you.

Pray that you be led where you need to go. In the Bible, Jesus says that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. The bad thing about Christianity, is that it has a lot of hippocrits....just like all other religions. The bad people make the good people look bad. Best of luck to you with our choice.

Your question contains the most deadly phrase any proselytizer of religion can ever hear. I THINK.
Good on you, keep thinking. Remember religion is superstition, it belongs in the same closet with faeries, goblins, Dracula and that plant from little shop of horrors.
But is sure is fun to study.
If you need the need for some type of spirituality in your life, study a Martail art, it leaves you with a clear head, a sound philosophical base, and is pretty useful in tight situations, (ever try and pray your way out of a mugging).

It's your choice. There ARE christians who do not believe in things, but a lot of people are Christian, I'm Christian but I'm not too religious. Whatever feels right for you. Don't choose according to other people.

Only if you want to be told what to think, read, watch and listen to. If you like being controlled and being able to blame the bad things you do on the "devil" then it is. If you want to be able to ask questions, think for yourself and take personal responsilbilty for your actions then it is not. All of the myths that are part of the Christian religion are thousands of years older than it is and nothing is original, except maybe the intolerance and hatred of all others.

religion is very personell.

if you are looking for a religion to folloe, i would suggest that you
get a Bible, a Quran and read them. and then look into some of the New age religions, and some of the older Asian religions (buddahist/hindu) and spend 6 months studying each of them. when you find the one that brings you the most peace go with it.

i did this and ended up being Celtic pagan. i would not change anything about who i am today for this experience.
