Most likely the whole batch is like that. You dont need to be calling any 800 number, take it back to the store you got it at & show them the born date. I ran a liquor store & it should never be an issue geting a refund or an exchange cause the store doesnt lose money on it, the beer distributor has to take it back. The distributors can get in big trouble for not getting in that cooler & checking their products dates. So if a clerk hears about it from you then I'm sure they'll hear about it from them

Check the fresh by date, if it only tells when it was made, and the beer is older than a month, it is probably a good chance the whole lot it skunked. Tehn again, it could have just been that the seal was broke a bit on the one. I recomend you grab another bottle (or can), go into the bathroom, stand in front of the mirror, open it and take a drink. If you see a bitter beer face, they're probably all skunked. Make the store trade 'em out. They shouldn't be selling beer that old.

The chances are good that the rest of it is skunked. Beer gets that way from being old, and all the beer in a case is made at the same time. Depending on what brand it is, there should be an 800 number to call. If you call them and tell them that it was trash when you bought it, they'll send you a refund.

We drink Miller Lite® bottles and we have been getting nasty beer lately. No fizz and skunky. I contacted Miller and they didn't seem worried, but they did send me a check for $14 to replace a case. We switched to Coors Light® and not a problem since.

Since it's in a can...I doubt exposure to light is the problem and the same re: oxygen....so more than likely it's just old beer(yuck) OR....it's just crappy beer to begin with and would taste like sh*t regardless.
Take it back and get a refund.

In MY (very vast) experience, they are ALL probably skunky.
But try a second can, and if it is skunky, take it back to where you got it & demand a full replacement.
It's caused by exposure to either sunlight or very warm temperatures.

I have only ever heard of it happening once ... now twice. I'd guess roughly 376 000 000 to 1
