We are from the US and I am working on assignment in AUS for a LARGE computer mfg, just guess. Anyway, I miss Cherry Pie and the pie filling I have found here in AUS is not up to Wilderness. Is there another pie filling company here in AUS with similar product quality to make a cherry pie?

I'm sorry I'm still laughing, you just slammed the Aus pie filling and now you want someone there to tell you where the "Good" stuff is, way to funny

Cherry Dump Cake 1 (20 oz.) can cherry pie filling 1 pkg. yellow cake mix 1 1/2 sticks butter, cut in pats 1 c. chopped walnuts (optional) Grease 13"x9" pan. Pour pie filling into pan. Add dry cake mix over top. If using nut, add next. Top off with the butter. Pats should be evenly placed on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Let cool and refrigerate. You can also use 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple in juice. If you decide to use this, it should be added after the cherry pie filling.

how funny. I'm in the same delema. I live in Mexico though, and am from the US. The cherry pie filling here is so runny- gross. I have to load up on the stuff every time I go back home to have the good stuff. Good luck though!

Why not buy fresh cherries and make the filling using sugar, cornstarch and the cherries with the juice from them. cook on stove and taste for sweetness or tartness and let thicken. then fill pie crust and bake according to directions. you may want to put a little vanilla flavoring or almond flavoring in it also. I like it just cherries myself.

Ooh, Wilderness is a good one. I don't know what the Aussie stuff is like, but you could try some cornstarch to thicken, then add 1/2 tsp. of almond extract and heat until thickened and then use it. Just a guess.
