Cited works is when you attribute works in your own works that are not your own. A bibliography is a list of where you you got all those cited works.

Cited work: Mae West said, "Is that a gun in your pocket or are you just glad to see me."
Bibliography: naming the movie and the writer among other things.

A Works Cited is a list of sources that you have used quotations from, or summarized. A bibliograpy is the list of all the books, websites, newspapers, etc you have used for information.

works cited means you actually used a quotation (citation) from the work in your paper.
