Without Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, there'd be no Christmas celebration.

I think Christmas is ok; beautiful lights, beautiful carols on the radio, happy Children shopping and people exchanging gifts. To most people, it's a joyous time. I am Muslim but I do have Christmas dinner with my Christian friends who cook very well; we even exchange gifts.
There is indeed very much commercializing of Christmas but it seems normal in the USA; even the Santa Claus Character is lots of fun for the Children and...there seem to be a special feeling all around you...can you feel it?
Peace on earth, goodwill to men. Merry Christmas everyone!

Christmas is widely known on December twenty 5th because of the fact was once the time of yuletide (that's now around December twenty first). Christianity mixed yuletide products--particularly the "Christmas tree"--to overshadow the Pagan occasion.

Remember that prior to Christmas, pagan winter festivals existed in its place. Christmas was superimposed over these festivals, yet even prior to Christmas, something was there.

While I agree that this holiday has become an overcommercialized joke, don't forget that others celebrated this season long before Christianity and Christmas existed.

Might as well be commercial, it has nothing to do with the birth of christ. It was originally to celebrate the winter solstice. So really, you christians have no right to complain about anything to do with the celebration

Yeah.

I think Linus in 'A Charlie Brown Christmas' explains the true meaning of Christmas best.

Here's a new concept for you...

Maybe the "real reason" as pertains to my own life is different then yours. No one made you controller of my life.

I see nothing wrong with my family's "reason," unless you are opposed to celebrations that are focused on family and all that good stuff.

Wow, here I am living in the US of A nowadays and I have never heard of the Jesus fellow! I did think that it was all about Santa and Rudolph. Thanks for coming along and straightening that out!

It was a pagan Holiday long before Christians ever decided to use it.
