Both shoot 1000 fps. But I don't know about the accuracy for the crosman or the winchester. Help and suggestions are appreciated.

If I were you I would get the Crosman.
The Winchester is made by Daisy, don't let the
name fool you. Many air gun manufacturers will
make a air gun for another company so they can
put their name on it. It's not very acccurate, also,
don't let the 1000 fps numbers fool you. All manufacturers
will advertise high numbers for their guns, it's called marketing.
They use the lightest pellets to get those numbers, but when they do you loose accuracy. Not saying that all guns loose accuracy. It all depends on the manufacturers, higher quality guns ( expensive ones) have a lot better accuracy because of
their barrels. Better quality, German and English guns especailly.
That being said, The Crosman is actually a Chinese rifle (B19)
It's a better gun as far as accuracy goes, a lot better than the
Winchester.
If this is your first spring gun, there's a break in period. Usually about 500-1000 shots. The gun will smoke a little from the breech
and the muzzel. (some will, some won't) If it does don't worry about it. It's burning off access grease in the piston chamber.
When break in is done, the gun will shoot smoother.
Also, you're going to learn about shooting springers. It's Not like a
bb gun.

I think the Winchester but I am not too familiar with the Crossman. You are on the right track though in looking for 1000 fps. It is the equivalent of a .22 rifle but cheaper and quieter to fire. Cost more in the beginning though I bet.
