I told this man that I was very attracted to him but wasn't ready for a relationship yet. We talked about having a f/b relationship. I told him I really wanted to but I was scared. I finally asked if he would be patient with me and take it slow. He said okay. Then he said that he didn't think it would be a good idea to see each other that night. I asked what he thought I meant by taking it slow and he said getting to know one another and being friends first. I felt rejected, said okay and got off the phone.

After that he kept hinting at seeing me, complimenting me and asking me questions about myself. Because I felt rejected I ignored his attempts.

A week later, he told me we could have had alot of fun that night and he could have taken advantage of me but he chose not to because he thought highly of me. Is he telling me the truth or did he have other plans?

It's really unknown what he was actually thinking. My advice for you girl, is to be very patient with this guy. The f/b thing sounds nice, but lots of girls get hurt doing this. They tend to start growing feeling for the guys. When the guys back off, then the girls start to feel used. So take your time, and guard your heart. You have the rest of your life for this. Best of luck to you.

thats truthful, if he just wanted a lay, he d have taken you that night, but he accepted your take it slow cause he knows if he had seen you that night he may have taken advantage and you d have thought he s just out to get a quick one.
