I know nothing about you and so if you are a fighter and refuse to be put down that is one reason. If you truly believe despite of how you feel, deep down there is someone who does, but you haven't met them yet that is another reason.
In the end your answer is care. Don't you see care next to love is one of the most powerful emotions in the world?

because you might have been through some tough times and have met some ignorant people but you are forgetting all nice people you met.
world is more +ve than what you think. if you wear black colored gogles - you 'll see everything dark . try seeing the good points too.

sometimes i feel the same way... but actually ppl do care... its hard to see that when ur down...try to remember that when ur unhappy ull b happy again one day and that to know what happiness is you have to be unhappy sometimes...
