PUT THAT FORK DOWN
Losing 20lbs is easier for larger people.
Mentally & Spiritually:
1. Have someone encourage you all the time to lose weight.
2. Always compete with the other girls. Aim to eat less CALORIES (not portion but calories) than them.
3. Think of all of the good things that would happen to you when you lose weight (new clothes, more friends, more guys, healthier, longer life, that cute guy you were never able to talk to, etc)
The hard part:
1. Eat more low calorie foods such as vegetables and fruits (don't listen to the low carb crap it's all about the calories)
2. Keep a journal to count calories
3. Stay away from the high calorie - steak, fried whatever, chocolate, sweets, dessert, hamburger, fast food, etc...
4. Try cooking with low calorie foods so that it fits your taste buds but stay away from the oil, make it a hobby
5. EXERCISE EXERCISE EXERCISE. MAKE MOMMY PROUD BY WORKING OUT AT THE GYM EVERYDAY FOR ONE HOUR. that's working out.. not going to the gym and looking around for an hour.
6. Make your life busy- go eye shopping, swim, hangout with your friends. Don't be a couch potatoe.
7. Drink a lot of water
20 lbs is very possible. To lose a pound each week you consume 1000calories each day from the total amount of calor you're allowed from your bmr & exercise.
I would be very proud of you if you skipped dessert

You need to cut out most of the carbs like bread, buns, bagels and donuts. Drink 8 glasses of water a day and for one week don't eat any fruits or drink fruit juices, no pop, no ice cream, no chocolate and cookies. Buy yourself a Tae-bo tape from Billy Blanks and work out every day. It's hard at first, but you learn the routine quite easy. After the first week start eating 2 Oranges a day, good for belly fat. Your diet will consist of meat, most fat removed and preferably chicken, lots of veggies and salads, go easy on the dressing, 1 bowl of cereal, 1% milk and once a week reward yourself with an ice cream cone.No pop ever! If you start this right after Christmas you will loose at least 20 pounds by Feb.

Cut out the soda and replace it with water only. Don't eat any fast food unless it's salad and water and no diet soda because it is addictive and makes you thirsty. Then after a month cut out all chips and cakes and donuts. The next month take out the white bread and potatoes and white flour products like pancakes...use whole grain bread and pancakes and cereals. The next month take out the large plates and use small plates and concentrate on portion control. No second helpings unless it's salad without creamy dressing or raw veggies. Use a cup for cereal and snack control. Cut, peel, dice foods that you can snack on from the fridge and make them easy to grab. Don't bring junk into the house, ask mom not to either. you can't eat it if it's not there. Snack on apples and caramel, carrots and ranch dressing, raisins and nuts. Protein stays with you and keeps you from feeling hungry. Suggary foods make your blood sugar rise and then fall so you eat everything in sight...so eat peanut butter on whole grain bread for toast or sandwiches. Eat several meals and small healthy snacks often. drink water and some juice like oj or grape. Move, walk whenever you can instead of drive or ride. Bikeride, dance to up beat music and get moving. make it fun. you have the power to do it you have to want it more than the food.

EAT HEALTHY AND EXCERSIZE. Don't rely on diet pills or gimmicks, just do it the old fashioned way. Cut your portions and eat healthy food. Throw out all the junk it your kitchen to stop temptation. I would also reccomend getting a gym membership. And don't eat school food it's full of fat and grease. If you don't get your weight under control now it will be hard to deal with later and could get out of hand. It's a serious matter

Hey, don't be embarrassed...I'm twelve too. Well, does the school you go to participate in gym every day? If not, it may be because you're not getting the right amount of exercise. If you wanna lose some weight then try eating smaller servings of food and spend more time on your body.

The best advice I have for you its too reduce your calorie intake, drink tons of water, and keep your body moving, and do not eat past 6 in the evening. Reduce your sugar. And most of all, don't stress about it!! Stessing will not help, just relax about it, mentally that is, but keep your body moving.
