It's all a matter of personal preference. Personally, I like a little bit of mustard. For a small sized can of tuna, I normally put in about 2TBSP miracle whip (or mayo if you prefer), about 1TBSP mustard, a couple boiled eggs, 1 tbsp relish and I season with cajun seasoning (prefer Tony Chacheres, or Zatarains). Mix it all together and it makes for one good tuna salad sandwich when put on toast! You can always add more or less mayo for the consistency you desire. I do the same thing with canned turkey, chicken, ham... what have you. I've never heard of using apples before, sounds interesting. But just remember, there's no wrong way to cook anything... as long as YOU like it, eat it and don't waste... cook how you like.

Well that's a tuna fish salad but regulartuna fish sandwhich is just mayo or salad dressing and some use celery and some use onion and sometimes both. The only thing that relish is in is usually salmom not tuna but the tuna fish she makes is closest to the tuna salad ive never heard of apples and relish in either one.

Canned tuna is good with many different ingredients to bind it. I sometimes use a blend of mayo and a little mustard. With a small amount of finely chopped celery and onion. Sometimes I put diced green chilies in it. Sometimes chopped dill pickles, sometimes pickle relish, depends on what is in the pantry/refrigerator. I have also put grated cheddar cheese in and made tuna melts that way.

Eww...lol. Hey, everyone has their own preference. I just do eggs, celery, onion, mayo. Every now and again I add a squeeze of mustard and some chopped sweet pickles. (Same as relish anyway.) Good luck with that argument. :)

that's a new recipe to me.... sounds interesting.

I drain the tuna and add mayonaise, chopped green onion and a little pepper. Now my curiosity is piqued, I will add a tbsp of mustard next time.

I just add mayo to the tunafish and put it on bread, to do more would be too costly for me.

I never heard of adding mustard but people do lots of things these days, and some of those things are traditional.

Mustard? Yuck. Tuna and mayo works fine for me, maybe a little celery as well.
