I have two - one is the powdered kind made with instant tea and Tang. The second is made with liquid ingredients and works wonderfully in a slow cooker or simmering pot for guests dropping in. I'll give you the instant one first:

Instant Russian Tea
2 cups Tang Instant Orange Drink
1 cup Instant Tea
1 tsp Ground Cloves
1 pkg Lemon Kool-Aid
1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
1 tsp Ground Allspice
1 1/2 cups Granulated Sugar

Mix all ingredients together well. Store in an airtight container. Use 1 1/2 tsp per cup of steaming hot water.

Russian Tea

1/2 Gallon Tea
3 Lemons
2 Oranges
1 Large Can of Pineapple Juice
2 Cups Orange Juice
1/2 cup Lemon Juice
A handful of whole cloves
Sugar

Make 1/2 gallon of tea using 2 family size tea bags. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and let sit for 30 minutes. While the tea is steeping, slice the lemons and the oranges into thin slices, remove the seeds and set aside. Remove the tea bags. Do not squeeze them. This releases the tanins from the tea leaves and makes your tea bitter. Bring the tea back to a boil. All all the remaining ingredients and sweeten to taste. You can keep this warm in a crock pot for hours for a party or drop in guests. Refrigerate leftovers. You can easily reheat it a cup at a time in the microwave and it's just as good. If you happen to have an old fashioned spice ball, you can put your cloves in it and they won't be floating around in your tea. Enjoy!

Merry Christmas.
