Having been there, I would suggest any alternative before filing bankruptcy. An excellent resource and an outstanding man to look at is Dave Ramsey (see www.daveramsey.com). There he tells you and shows you a plan called, the Total Money Makeover. He is a Christian man who has been there and done that. After losing all the he had twice! He learned his lessons and is now debt free! I have the book and more and it is the truth!
