God will watch human consumerism eat up the planet, and WE will have to save ourselves. Our planet will regenerate herself, and we will come again, to try again, at not screwing this planet up AGAIN. God cannot, and will not, interfere with our free will, which is obviously pointed at capitalism and greed.
human frailties are not for Goddess to take away.
human frailties are for humans to give up.
And during all this, Goddess waits patiently for us to become that which is perfect and divine. We are supposed to be working on that, not working to buy a million gifts to stuff under the tenenbaum. Maybe we'll learn one day.

God is only concerned with saving us from our sins which make us unclean to return to His presence some day. He sent His Son Jesus Christ to pay for our sins that we may repent and become clean. So putting and end to hunger, disease, car crashes, too much debt, and human consumerism are not what it's all about.
