UFC refs are better both have had questionable stops. But Pride has had a lot more. The refs in Pride seem tobe on the take. But UFC refs are picked by the Nevada Athletic Commission. Thats why the Pride U.S. debute was a good show because they couldn't pick the refs.

pride and ufc sometimes use the same refs like herb dean, but i like prides refs better because they have a head set to tell them when to stop the fight, so they are never wroung. For the announcers i also like prides, it's funny and the enterances are amazing. But UFC will one day take over pride, because their nonstop growth of the company. Ohwell its all about the fights anyways.

I know that I don't like Big John McCarthy, the UFC's most notable ref, at all. Seems like he's always telling the fighters to "work,"but it seems that they are fighting hard most of the time, and if they aren't working, they are resting (Which he would understand if he ever got in the ring, himself!) The fact that the refs in all of the organizations are trying their best to keep the fighters in this sport from suffering some of the same fates as professional boxers do, in the ring, is the reason why you have stoppages that seem premature, at the time.
