I have the same problem. I've found that a good conditioner is the best thing to look for. everyone is different but my favorite is Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine. it's meant for frizzy and unmanagable hair. also try washing& conditioning one day and only conditioning the next and keep alternating.

damage to your hair from straightenning and curling can hurt it too. use a low damage ceramic iron and use a product on it that will help it straighten faster. I like Matrix sleek look. and finish off with Schwarzkopf OSIS Magic Anti-frizz Gloss Serum. it's the best stuff i've ever used. it keeps down those fly aways all day.

You need a good haircut, and then you need a good conditioner. If your hair tends to be oily at the scalp, then only condition the ends, don't work the conditioner up into the scalp, because that will only make the oiliness worse. You probably don't need any volumizing product, most of those will only dry your hair out even more. Find a good hairdresser/salon and they'll be able to give you alot more help than we would here online, because they can see and touch your hair.

p.s. that's what my 16 year old daugher's hair was like before she cut her hair--IT'S SHORT, and started using a really good, salon quality conditioner. Her hair is great now, but it's not your standard high school girl haircut. She's got it in shorter layers, and it looks great on her.

Get to a good hairdresser! they will steer you in the right direction also, it's imperative that you use top notch hair care products for your hair type. Over the counter products are not enough. Split ends are something that needs to be cut but good products can prevent further damage. And after washing and conditioning it don't rip through it, use a large toothed comb to detangle it. For dry hair a moisture pac once a week you shoud see a big difference!

Try and improve your diet and take some cod liver oil capsules. Have the split ends cut off and stop spending on the useless hair products. Don't wash your hair too often as this will dry it out further.
