That's something that our minds can't grasp and that NOTHING can determine -- except if someone has an enlightenment experience. Science and everyhing in this universe can only say things about what's in this universe -- and that means time, space, etc. It's incredible that the universe is expanding but ... what is it expanding into if space only comes into being with a universe? And we can't even reasonably say about a 'before' the universe because time comes into being with the universe. VERY VERY difficult stuff...

I imagine the edge of the universe to be made of water.
Genesis 1:6-8b - "And God said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water." So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so. God called the expanse "sky." "
But beyond the edge of the universe - i guess now is an appropriate time to say "Only God knows!"

no longer something it relatively is interior the comprehension persons mere people. think of of it like this: Time and area exist only as properties of our universe, and got here into life whilst it did - so something "outdoors" or "previous it" needs to exist in a fashion that doesn't require time or area. think of approximately it - how can something exist without everywhere to be in, or any time line (ie, no previous, latest or destiny)? this variety of situation is so far out of our adventure, that's impossible for us to even start to respond to that query. Einstein himself could no longer answer it. :-)

I don't think we'll ever get there, so maybe God just holds our whole universe in His hand, looking down on it.
