My sister received a jar of pickle bums from her father in law. My mother in law gave me ear rings that had a rusted stem on them (and could not be worn) mY mother in law also bought us a comforter that looks like the inside of a sleeping bag. And she got angry when I told her I didn't much like it. How about you what are your worst experiences?

My family was very poor when I was a little girl so I had never had a doll. One Christmas I opened my present and it was the most beautiful doll.I was so happy. My mother grabbed it from me and gave it to my younger sister and said it was a mistake and I was too old to play with dolls anyway. I was nine years old. That was my Christmas present that year.

My spouse's parents -- they aren't in-laws, they are outlaws. They gave me for Christmas, a moldy sheet set (yes you can see and smell the mold) and linens that smelled like they were sitting in an outhouse for years, and books with the smell of feces.

These outlaws are not living in poverty, they are living comfortably. They pay their children hand$omely during the year.

But I suspect they still have issues about their child marrying me, and we've been married for decades! But then they were never happy about their children's spouses, and let us spouses know in no uncertain terms. They are probably frustrated because my spouse and I are still married.

I was not brought up to reciprocate by sending garbage as gifts but I have since distanced myself from these cretins.

I got a christmas card one year that I had written to the person. He crossed out the TO and swapped it to FROM. He said it saved on card if he sent the same christmas card back to the sender. It proved you received it and is returning it. He was a great entrepenaur.

I thought it was funny.

Merry Christmas

I never have presents for Christmas, we don't ever decorate our house. it's like there is not even a holiday going on. I think that's the worst Christmas present ever.

When I was about ten years old, my grandmother gave me clothes that she would wear, only in (what she thought were) in my sizes! I was so happy she hadn't seen me in almost a year and they didn't fit!
