Just talk to him. Try to find something that he's interested in first, and brush up on that. For instance, if he likes a particular sport team, find out if they've had any special games recently, or if any of their players have been traded. Ask questions.
Most of us like to talk about ourselves, so try to get him to do that. You can turn on the charm by smiling at him, and of course you should be dressed nicely. Don't misunderstand me--don't try to look particularly sexy. If your school does not require a uniform, you can wear a dress--not a skirt and blouse--which most boys find more attractive than jeans. It can be short, but not riduculously so.
Your ages are right for a beginning relationship, and the difference in grades should not be important. Smile, listen, and be yourself.

⥠First of all be yourself. Don't change for anyone, because you will reap what you sew. The grade difference doesn't sound like a problem unless he is worried about what other people think. Talk to him and try to get to know him first because he may be a total different person then he seems far away. Also be confident in yourself. Good luck. Hope you get the guy.

You can't make someone like you. You can not make someone have the same feelings for you as you do for them. All you can do is be yourself and hope that will get his attention, if not then it is a relationship that wasn't meant to be and you should focus your attention elsewhere, perhaps more on schoolwork.

You cant make someone like you and you shouldnt have to. If you want a true friend just wait and you will find sombody that is crazy about you just the way you are. It will come with time.

Be yourself, talk to him, flirt with him, and it doesn't matter if he's a grade higher than you.
P.S.
Don't be going 'round saying your 13 or you'll get kicked off Yahoo! Answers.

Work on your grades. You're thirteen. It's a waste of time and energy.
Ok, so you probably won't see that now but it twenty years you'll know otherwise.

you can send him signals like flirting with him or inviting him and some of his friends to a party with you and your friends.
although, i do agree wih jenn. it just happens, sorry hon but its a natural thing that takes place on its own. corny but true, if he doesn't like you then he's not worth it.
good luck
