Use a smaller plate and only have seconds if it's salad without creamy dressing or veggies that are raw, steamed and not fried.
Drink lots of water. Avoid all fast food...they make it addicting. After 2-3 mos. without it you won't crave it. don't drink diet drinks..they are addicting and make you thirsty. just water, plain sweet teas and one coffee a day. Shop with health and snacking healthy in mind. don't bring in the chips, ice cream and cakes...you can't eat it if it isn't there. Then when you get home prepare small portions of healthy foods and snacks. clean, peel and dice so the food is ready to grab and go or easy to prepare. Eat several small meals and healthy snacks each day. Have canned fruit in it's own juice around for snacking, apples and caramel sauce, carrots and ranch dressing. Cheese and crackers, cottage cheese and fruit or tomatoes. Only whole grain breads and cereals. Smaller portions and more variety of fruits, veggies and a portion of broiled, grilled or cooked
meat that is the size of your palm. not bigger. Then have raisins, nuts and celery, grapes sherbet and live culture low fat yogurt for snacking too. Now, ask three things before you eat something...is this a good choice or can I make a better healthier choice? Do I really need to eat this now am I really hungry? Is this good for me and will it make my body have more energy or will it make me feel full, bloated and bad that I ate it? If the first two are yes, then eat it and be OK. If not then find something else. Then when you do this and are not feeling deprived you can have something to reward yourself. Never deprive yourself all the time of at least one thing you like, have it occasionally. then move, anytime you can walk, park farther away and walk into the store. Take the stairs not the elevator. Take a multivitamin mineral supplement to make sure you get enough and you should be feeling better. Never diet...eat. Just eat healthy. Make better choices and eat often but eat smaller portions and healthy snacks. you can do it.

it is easier to set a plan before you are already hungry. Try bagging up some fresh veggies and fruits so that when you do get hungry it is just as easy to reach for the healthy stuff as it would be for a bag of potato chips or cookies. Also filling up on water and high fiber foods can keep you full so that you arent tempted to binge on lot of high calorie food.

dont let yourself get too hungry, you will just overeat,,,,, also, dont deny yourself anything, just have small portions of your favorite high calorie foods, and larger portions of low calorie,,,,, exercise moderately for overall good health , and learn the calories that are in food,,, for a meal, if you want a higher calorie entree, drink plain water, or water with lemon,, and skip dessert,,,,, or vice versa, if you want desert, eat some veggies for the entree ,,,,,, its all about balance,,,,, if you eat extra or that candy, jump up and jog around or dance during tv commercials, or every 30 mins on the computer, take 5 mins out to do that

It sounds easier than it really is. But, try to think of your body as a temple and only feed yourself the stuff that only a person as amazing as yourself deserves. To over eat or fill up on junk is disrespecting the most beautiful person you know......you!!!

Good Luck Kristy!! :-)

You don't need to reduce, you just need to change your habits. Like eating more vegetables and exercising, for example. Here's a link that might help....

it's not that hard. you have control over your own hands right? don't buy unhealthy food in the first place. get alot of vegetables, fruit, chicken, stuff like that. just have some self control and you should be fine. seriously.
