NO not in any sense at all.
It is appointed unto man once to die and after this is the judgment Hebrews 9:27
IN Matthew we are told that there is no communication because a great gulf is fixed between paradise and torment.
There are no ghost, no communicating with the dead, no trances for "Special" people to talk to the dead for us. IT is all absolutely FAKE.
No danger is involved unless the person holding the seance is off their rocker and really believes their own deceptions. Then stay away from them. They need clinical help.

Yes. Seances open yourself to evil spirits and diabolism. This is why the Bible warns against mediums and sorcery. Evil spirits almost always lie and they can give enough half-truths to fool you into believing something that is not true. Resist the temptation to take part in these seances. They are dangerous to your soul. They cannot bother you unless you invite them in...by being interested in the occult, you are chipping away at your defenses, until when you are at your weakest, they will try to destroy you. Remember, evil spirits hate us and are liars and deceivers. Be on your guard.

Yes, they are if you are a Christian.
Along with such other "innocent" things as Horoscopes, and some Yoga are little come ons to get into the world of the occult (demonic) world.

They're rather like playing with a ouija board. Not a good idea and possibly very dangerous. You're playing with the dead and with spirits. These things can't be controlled by you or anyone.

Yes, God forbids them in the Old Testament because to communicate with the dead is impossible (see story of Lazarus & the Rich Man, it is not a parable. Parables never mention any person's name). It leads to confusion & ultimately to demonic information being given to God's People. Demons can imitate those who have lived (called Familiar spirits or family spirits) and have you messed up in your Theology, or at worst give the demon permission to possess or oppress you. See what the demon told Saul in the Story of the Witch at Endor.

Deu 18:10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,
Deu 18:11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
Deu 18:12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

yes, they can be. it is not a pagan thing but exists in the beliefs of spiritualism. i would warn you against it. it can be very dangerous and very frightening. i am not a christian, so i am not sounding self righteous, or on a harp....but please, don't bother. it is not worth your while.
