Do people who believe in god/gods think the opposite?

This is a very subjective question. What does "weak-minded" mean? I am an atheist and I think that people who believe in god are, in general, less intelligent than those who do. Sorry, but it's pretty much a fact, if you took a cross-section of atheists vs. bible thumpers randomly and did IQ tests, you would find a distinct pattern. Why? Because being an atheist does NOT come naturally. You have to be strong-willed and questioning of everything to arrive at atheism. Believing in god is WAY easier than NOT believing in god, trust me. If you believe in god, you have so many questions answered for you and a greater power to believe in. Being an atheist, you are limited to what science can explain for our "higher" questions.

But I'm sure that religious people THINK atheists are weak-minded. No one likes to think they are lesser than another person - especially when the other doesn't have the same fundamental beliefs about the world that you have.

Even though I'm a Christian, I think there are a few things that need addressing. 1-Love is a very large part of God's plan. Marriage is a very important topic in the bible, as it is in most sacred texts. 2-'Now, let's say one beats the odds and does not end up dead or beaten or divorced or any of the other horrible things that come with "love"' Are you really saying that it is against the odds to get through a relationship without getting beaten or killed? I know you threw divorce in there at the end of that statement, but how irrational is it to assume so many are beaten and killed. Comparing mariticide to the crusades is a bit off in my opinion, especially since religious killings are a potent part of our current news. 3-If you think your "trying of love" while exhibiting no faith and maintaining a "coldly analytical" stance is any better than an Atheist not trying religion, then I'd say that is a bit hypocritical as well. If you want others to show faith, you must show faith. If you really feel this way (beyond trying to make a point) then aren't you just as closed-minded as the people you are writing this against? If you really didn't understand Love because of the negative things to be said, shouldn't that actually increase your understanding for Atheists who feel the same way but towards religion(a topic with no shortage of negative side-effects)?

Yes, and sometimes. People who believe in God wonder why atheists can't see the obvious.

As an atheist I do believe that those who believe in God are weak minded. What's harder for the God-believers to understand, is that I also believe that they are intellectually corrupt.

Most theists are so fixated on the fact that there is a God, they would never even consider opening up to other thoughts. That is why I think they are weak minded.

I have no opinion really. Maybe some are weak minded, but maybe that has to do with them as a person not what they believe. I think religion is silly, but it's not my business what someone else believes.

No atheists know that people who worship fantasies are dangerous and most be watched closely. People who believe in god/gods will believe just about anything.

then hell is full of strong-minded souls. People who refused God and lived for themselves will pay the price. Is risking an eternity in hell worth it? EVERY knee will bow and EVERY tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord. Do it before you die and you'll spend eternity with Him. Don't confess it before you die, and you'll also do it after you die but, too late to turn back. Hell has no exit doors or escape hatches.

From what I read on this site and Answerway.com, it sure looks like they feel they are intellectually superior to Christians.
