I've got a feeling that your grandmother will probably know what to do about it. How to clean it depends on what kind of pot it is , what is it made of?

In the future, for melting chocolate, you MUST use a double boiler or use two pots, one inside the other, the bottom has water in it, the top one is where you put the chocolate. Then you are melting the chocolate by the heat of the boiling water, not direct flame.

*edit* it's been two hours; has grandma come home yet?

Looks like you got great advice for cleaning the pots but next time avoid burning chocolate by using a double boiler. That means boiling a pan of water and putting a smaller pan in or over that hot water and then add chocolate to smaller pan as this should melt the chocolate.

STEP 1: Wash away as much of the food as possible, using cold water for eggs, chocolate and starch-based foods. STEP 2: Fill the pot with water. Add 1 to 2 tsp. dishwashing liquid and bring to a boil. Simmer for 10 minutes, then cover the pot, turn off the heat and leave the pot to soak for 30 minutes. STEP 3: With a wooden spoon, scrape away as much of the burned food as possible. Rinse well. STEP 4: If burned areas still remain, cover them completely with a generous amount of baking soda. Drizzle in just enough water to create a thick paste, smearing the paste up the sides of the pot if needed. Set aside for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. STEP 5: Without rinsing the pot, add 3 parts water to 1 part distilled vinegar to cover the burned food by at least 2 inches (5 cm). Boil for 10 minutes and then leave overnight. STEP 6: Repeat steps 2 through 5 as needed.

*** add some dish sopa and hot water then put it on the sotve and bring it to boil for a couple minutes.... Dump water and crape the pot them rinse, it should be all out.
To melt the chocolate use a double boiler type of thing or the microwave - with the last one make sure that you put the chocolate on 30sec. at a time to avoid burning OK !!!
