These kids don't understand that a four year old will be in bed about an hour after you get there, you're work will be done, but you can't leave. A game is a good idea, if you can play it quietly, nothing with timers. TV is good if there is DirecTV, that will be quiet. You can play cards, boring but quiet. Is your friend a boy, you could play house, pretend to be married, etc. Don't fool around cuz that's when the parents come home early with a stomach flu or whatever. Reading is a good pasttime but your friend will be bored. Sorry, but babysitting is one boring job. You could ask the parents if there is anything they would like done, fold laundry, wash dishes, etc. They may pay you more.

Bring some cards, board games, bake some brownies or cookies, read a book or some magazines, do your nails and hair, bring some ice cream and a bunch of other junk food and then order a big, sloppy pizza and eat til you are sick while watching chick flicks. Just make sure that whatever you do, you keep an eye on the little girl, even after she's gone to bed( like maybe check on her every hour or so.) Have fun!!!

Play with the little girl until bed time then watch tv and turn on some low music and dance around or something. Bring homework if you have any and board games, books, magazines, if they have any game consoles then ask the parents if you can use it and bring your own games,

Holiday crafts maybe. My kids love cutting and pasting. She would probably love it too. Also paper and crayon are great as well. Just make sure she doesn't stay up until 3 a.m. She could be going to be shortly after you arrive anyway (if you mean 7pm).

Well....first off 'ya know the little girl is your #1 priority....even more than having fun...sorry :) I would say bring your favorite films, some snack stuff, some board games and some magazines. It seems like a long time, but it is really only 8 hrs. of your life. You can do it....and have fun too :)

Bring movies to watch and some board games are always fun. At least you get to bring your friend, that'll help.

Good time for you and your friend to learn something new.
A how-to knitting book, needles and yarn.
A new card game.
A new recipe....with owner's permission.
Just keep the giggles quiet.....don't want to wake the little one.
