Well if you go to beauty and style then skin and body, everybody is asking about tattoos. why is that??

Don't know...but I guess it's a "cool" thing...I also thought it was a cool thing to do now I wish I didn't get the tatoo or where I got it...now it's a daily reminder of how immature I was.

different people get tattoos for different reasons. but tattoos have been around for hundreds and hundreds of years. they are appealing to people for many reasons. i love my tattoos because they are art. they are unique and something that i am proud to own. other people get them to remind them of a certain time in their life. others get them because they want to be cool. tattoos are popular and are gaining popularity every day. so it is fitting that there is a category on yahoo answers about tattoos.

I may catch some flack for this as people who are going to answer your question more than likely have tattoos, but I think people get them because they are lemmings who follow whatever the latest fad is without thinking of the long term consequences.

In my opinion, I think people may want to get a tattoo because they've seen someone who has one...they like how it looks on them...then they want to get one too.
Everyone has different reasons but for the most part, its because its the 'in' thing.

If they don't already have one they just may be curious about them or want one but afraid of getting one.
Why they want one I can't answer. You would have to ask them themselves.
I got mine because, well, my Mom paid for my first one and I just wanted it because I felt like it fit my personality and wanted to show it off. My second one was because I was just trying to find a way to get my mind of my stupid ex. Dumb reason. BUT I don't regret it and it had nothing to do with him. It was just gave me something to do I guess.

in todays world tattoo's act as an expression and a new modern tone of photograph.. my tattoos resemble specific parts of my life and they hold very deep memories. its a permanent way to keep something important to you and you hold and cherish it deeply. so when you see a person with tattoos don't look at them weird just realize they are just expressing themselves and their life outward to you as you might express yourself and life in a photoalbum.
