My TV is a somewhat old Sanyo TV, and I can't adjust the colors and brightness. The problem is that it's a bit to dark and I can't play certain video games, because I can't tell what's going on. Does anyone have any suggestions besides getting a new TV?

Man wrong wrong wrong....all answers are wrong.

Take it from a TV TECH....your picture tube is SHOT...

Dark picture, old Sanyo...Can't adjust Colors and brightness....

These are Clear-Cut indicators of a worn out picture tube.

Buy a new one.....and I usually state "It can be repaired" but not this time. Sorry but it's the truth.....

Hi,in the back of the set look for a couple small holes. The top one is focus and the bottom is master brighness, they shouild be marked.A small screwdriver will be needed to turn the control clockwise and give you some more brightness. And while your there, tweak the focus and give your eyes a better overall picture. Some tv's need the back to come off for this operation,so if your uncomforable around high voltage then call in a pro.Good luck

there should be littlescrew type buttons on the back, near where the cable access is, that will fix colour and brightness. If so, fiddle with these a little, but turn theset off manually between each adjustment. If you don't have these buttons, you are truly fried, buy a new set

You should bring it to a repair shop and ask the person what's wrong with it
