low self-esteem. and, too lazy to actually act or work for something. easier to beg a ghost for something instead...

I really don't get the question about begging. We pray to God because that is what Jesus instructed us to do. If you have not tried it don't knock it, when your prayers are answered it is a blessing. A secular study was done in a hospital where some patients were prayed for and some were not. They found the group that had been prayed for recovered better than those that did not have prayers for them. Neither group was aware of who got the prayers or not.

You are one of those that I sit around and pray about. I beg the Lord to reach out to you and that you would reach back. It is really not a waste of time actually. It is a "recharging of the batteries" so to speak.
What do you know. I am praying for your right now.
God bless ya...

Prayer works. Prayer is NOT begging. Prayer is alot more than ASKING for anything. Part of prayer is listening. And what about thanking, and praising!
We spend time with the people and things we care about. I love God, and I love to spend time with Him. We thank people for the things they do for us, therefore I thank God for all He does for me. I listen when I talk to people, and I listen when I talk to God.
And for the record...a believer is much different than " a religious person". Relegion has nothing to do with it.

Well those who believe in God, don't believe in spereading their hands infront of anyone else but him as they know that he'll surely listen to them... They speak to God about their good times and bad times... about their needs and what all they have in excess...
If ur calling their belief begging, i pity you my dear friend...
grow up...
havn't u ever been to any church or temple or mosque? don't u believe in God or u jst go to them only when u need something? this shows how sefish u are... that u can't even thank God for giving you such a great life... for making you a human being...
I pity you...

To raise money for literacy programs, schools, hospitals and institutions for higher learning, not to mention feeding the poor, providing clothes, etc. I only wish they were more succesful so the government would stop taking and wasting our money trying to do the same thing.

As Christians, we praise God for everything, we pray that he may hear our love from Him. God wants to hear our voices praise His Holy name, I don't know about begging, I only know that God asks us to come to Him in prayer with ALL our needs.

I can't imagine a more immature question. Is that what you really want to know? Because, it assumes that's all "religious" people do. Try to think before you post a question.
