Because anything a man finds attractive he will end up trying to get into bed. We can't admit a man is attractive because of this.

That's just the way women are. Women hug each other, hold hands with each other, kiss their mates, make compliments. A woman will watch TV and say things like, "She's got a pretty face." It's more natural for women to be like that.
Men generally don't act like that unless they're pissed up, wearing a party hat and it's New Years Eve.
A lot of men will probably know a good looking bloke when they see one, but they won't go around shouting about good looking guys they see.

Its an inbred inability to acknowledge that another male may be more attractive than us. Plus a straight man has to define his sexuality at all times. I am straight but if my partner asked if I thought another guy was good looking I would automatically say 'not really', or 'all right I suppose', even if I actually thought he was. My evasive answer is my way of saying 'what are you asking me for, I'm totally straight!' If I say yes I am almost saying I fancy him! Pathetic I know. I guess we need to take a lesson from our gay friends who can admire the looks of both sexes.

Guys generally do not spend much time checking out other guys and deciding if they are good looking or not. We are just not built that way. Well, Straight guys that is.

a lot of guys are worried about being thought of as gay.
I've found the answers vary if you ask the questions like - "do you think that guy is stereotypically handsome" - they will voice and opinion if you stick stereotypically in there!

Because whichever way they answer (yes or no), you'll pounce on them and call them gay. It's one of the wily ways many women, yourself included, have of putting men down.
Caught ya, didn't I?

I DONT KNOW IS A LIE!! WHEN I GO OUT ON THE PULL AND AM TRYING TO CHAT UP A GIRL AND ANOTHER GUY IS ALSO TRYING, IF HE IS MORE HANDSOME THAN ME I HAVE TO TRY WIT AND HUMOUR TO WIN HER ATTENTION, GUYS DO KNOW HANDSOME GUYS. TURN THE QUESTION AROUND "ISNT THAT GUY UGLY" EVERYONE KNOWS AN UGLY WHEN THEY SEE ONE, MALE OR FEMALE!! THEREFORE YOU KNOW A HANDSOME/PRETTY WHEN YOU SEE ONE, MALE OR FEMALE.

I honestly don't think men can really tell if another is good looking or not - unless it's incredibly obvious like Johnny Depp or someone. So, "I don't know" is probably a truthful answer.
Either that or they don't want to look like pansys.
