There is no reason why it should not be OK,if it has been stored in good conditions.

It is a myth that all wines improve with keeping, what they do is change and some people like the way they change ovet the years. You should expect this Champagne to be a bit darker yellow in color and taste a bit more toasty.

Champagne does keep -- I age my Champagnes, but the problem with non-vintage wines (like yours) is that you don't know how old it is. Ifyoubought it from a shop then it should be not much older than 6 years. But if you were given it, you have no idea how long the previous owner had it.

So cross your fingers , open it and taste it/

I reckon it'll be OK. Cheers!!

if u hv kept it for 6yrs u must hv kept it properly....
nw 2 find out d quality we need 2 do few things very carefully...

# Take d bottle in a 45deg angle between a bright candle n d eyes. if u find sediments den decant it very carefully so dat d sediment lies below & doesnt come in d decanter. (possibility of finding any sediment is nxt 2 impossible)

# Before opening d bottle leep d bottle in a 45deg angle so dat d cork is wet & doesnt break due 2 dryness.

# If u find no sediments den just pour into a glass just 2 see d colour,if its bright den its gud if pale u need 2 taste.

# if is tangy in any part of d mouth specially on d sides den its gone case bt if its good den d taste would definaly fill ur mouth.

# Overall,if u serve it chilled den its best 2 hv.

#But wat i feel is dat u wont hv 2 do all dis,coz i ve never seen a moet getting spoiled in extreme conditions.

probably not. i'm no wine expert, but i think most non-vintage champagne is meant for immediate consumption, although some, like white star, actually improve after a year. it also largely depends on the way it's been stored, but i think 6 years might be too long. be sure to taste it yourself first, before serving to guests. :-)
