Jesus Chirst was a communist, but not a Communist. There is a difference.

Communism (little c) is "A theoretical economic system characterized by the collective ownership of property and by the organization of labor for the common advantage of all members." The early Christians lived in communist societies. Acts 2:44-45 says, "All that believed were together, and had all things in common; And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need."

Communism (big c) is "A system of government in which the state plans and controls the economy and a single, often authoritarian party holds power, claiming to make progress toward a higher social order in which all goods are equally shared by the people." It "advocates the overthrow of capitalism by the revolution of the proletariat." Jesus came far before Communism, and was both a theist and a pacifist. He advocated communism by choice and according to conscience, not by force and according to government.

He told all the people to give with a happy heart and not out of compulsion. Compulsion is the corner stone of Communism. Communsim murdered millions of Orthodox Christians in the 20th century. Jesus is a monarchist and a libertarian. He is the King and He tells us to be holy as individuals within the church rather than subscribing to secular political ideology.

i choose for to assert sure yet...even what all of us understand of Christ's existence is written 50 years AFTER the reality. there replaced into probably a lot of exaggeration in that translation from existence to paper. Then there is the extra edit on the council of Nicaea. Communism suffers the comparable subject - it somewhat is one part of communicate approximately it, extremely yet another to enforce. Oh, and as somebody else stated, communism does surely communicate approximately revolution - the working classification taking decrease back the skill of production. i do no longer think of Jesus somewhat concept that way. He could be greater of a socialist. "as quickly as I provide foodstuff to the detrimental, they call me a saint. as quickly as I ask why the detrimental have not have been given any foodstuff, they call me a Communist." --- Don Helder Camara, Brazilian Archbishop

No, he was a pacifist.

About giving, please compare these two verses:

“But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” (1 Tim. 6:6-10)

‘Give to the poor; store up treasures for yourself in heaven...’ (Matt. 19:16-22)

Jesus was referring to those who have excesses....wealth could hinder one's spiritual growth, so it would be better to give to the poor the excess of wealth, you helped and at the same time isnt worried of being occupied by wealth.

While Jesus walked the earth he was asked about govt. loyalties; in particular the issue of taxes. He asked for a coin and asked the guys whose picture was on it, they answered 'Ceaser'. He replied 'then give to Ceaser that which is Ceaser's and to God that which is God's', so clearly he was not an anarchist. Communism in its modern day form is atheistic, so therefore a theist would naturally not endorse such a form of govt.

Jesus did not really believe in any form of government. He wanted humans to worship God and have him as their only leader. yes, He thought that the rich should give some of their wealth to the poor, but people who arent communists still belive that today. its called charity.

In that story Jesus was speaking to the rich young ruler. He knew that money was the all important thing to this man and so He asked him to give it up and follow Him. Of course the rich man could not do this because he loved his money more than God. God does not expect you to give up your money in this way. That dialogue was directed to this particular man only and not to all of us.
