This could be connected to the Valsalva maneuver, where you increase pressure inside the intestines by bearing down with your stomach muscles while holding your breath. Most people do this without realizing it in order to expel flatulence or to assist in defecation. As pressure increases you could be forcing your blood pressure to go up, which can cause headaches. High blood pressure or Hypertension, is called the silent killer, because of the long-term damage it can do even when you are feeling fine. If just expelling flatulence causes a headache, I would get checked out by a doctor as soon as possible. Buy a blood pressure cuff, or sphygnomonometer, and stethoscope, and learn how to manually take your own blood pressure. Normal human BP average is 120 over 80, optimal. Mild hypertension starts at 140 over 90, moderate at 160 over 100, and any result 180 over 110 or above is severe. Don't rely on battery-operated blood pressure cuffs, they can give erroneous results if their batteries run low. If you are diabetic being seen by a doctor is of high importance if hypertension is suspected. BTW, the recommended daily water intake is eight glasses of water, not eight ounces.
