When the dementor attacked Dudley in HP Book 5, I realized how powerful they are.

This must be proof that Voldemort exists, right? And, of course, Harry Potter must exist, because the books say so.

I'm using Harry Potter books to prove that everything in Harry Potter is true.

Can I do that with all unprovable books of fiction? Does it all mean that "Yeah, God exists" too?

It's the same logic to prove the bible and koran and other cult texts. Just use the text iteself to prove that text is the word of God/Allah/Schmeckle-Man, etc...

I guess there must be a hidden school somewhere in Europe, called Hogwarts -- it's just invisible and we haven't found it yet. Maybe it's right next to where the Ark is resting, huh?

The difference between Harry Potter and the bible is that Harry potter is a work of fiction set in a fantasy deviation of the real world.

The bible however is a series of historical accounts written by people who were there when they happened. the events which were written in the bible were deemed so important by the writers (all 40 or so of them), that they had to put it on paper for everybody else to read. as it turns out, it's so important that we all still have access to here today.

John 20:31 - "but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name."

Don't be silly... You don't need proof that Voldemort exists. Unlike God, Voldemort shows himself again and again in book after book.

I don't think the truth of Voldemort's being lends any credence to the existence of God.

But consider this: Harry potter and his friends celebrate Christmas - they never mention Christ or God directly, of course, but they have Christmas trees and exchange gifts and they offer "Happy Christmas" wishes to each other. These facts are worthy of notation, aren't they?

Good luck in your quest... I believe in you.
