You ask them hard questions that they themselves cannot answer. The reason they are religious has no logical reason. It is simply because they were brainwashed at a young age.

It's such a final thing,, You cry because you know how much you will miss this person.. Christian or not.. We know our loved one's are in heaven , but we won't be seeing them for quite a while.. Now if your kid was safe at your family's but you never got to see you child again, Then I think you would be in the same boat as the question your asking , Crying and missing your child ..
That is a good question
But the answer is pretty clear

Because we love the person and will miss them. I cry when I have a family member leave who is going away to another country for any length of time. Christians have the hope of Heaven, but we still grieve. We are not robots, we have hearts like anybody else for our loved ones. My brother was a good Christian man and died 5 yrs. ago, he was one of my best friends and I miss him still. Even Jesus wept at the tomb of Lazarus.

The reason why some Christians cry at funerals is because whatever is in there heart at that time it comes out.Depending on how that person treated the one who died(if they knew them)cause some folks like going to funerals just to see how sombody is going to react and to be able to go to folk's house to get food)but actually you aren't sopose to cry they got it backwards.Jesus cried a little when his friend Lazerith died but he was able to reserect him. That's the difference in man and Jesus we can't reserect NOBODY.But if you are a true Christian you wouldn't be crying cause you know that you know you will see them again.I don't even go to funerals it's depressing to me and I also want to remember that person the way they were in life.My X husband came home from his grandmother's funeral and told me she was put away beautiful she looked good.He told me she was smiling.I told him true she was a Christian but nobody looks good dead.

Would still cry. Even though I know they are in heaven and I will see them again. It's still sad. I couldn't imagine anyone being happy at a time like that. There's a bond that forms and that tearing away would be quite painful.
Strange Q.
Be Blessed.

It's human to miss the ones you love even if you know that you will see them again one day. People cry when a sailor has to leave his wife and family to go on a long sea deployment.

At the beginning of mankind the Command to Adam was not heaven or hell, it was life or death in obedience or disobedience.
We have born in us from birth a natural tendency to live forever like Adam had at the beginning, but he sinned and we suffer for that...death. So when a loved one dies we morn and cry for that one...we were made to live forever. Christ is our redeemer.

Because you still miss that person. You are glad they are in heaven with the Lord, but will miss spending time with them. That is a normal human reaction.

God said we should mourn the birth and celebrate the death. I believe we cry because WE will miss them and their presence in our lives. I knew when my grandmother passed that we would be together again, that she was at peace and had no pain. When I saw her, I cried because I would so miss her loving touch, her words and her love. We cry for ourselves, even Jesus wept!

just because you know that they are in heaven does not prevent you missing them on earth. most christians have ambivalent feelings on the matter. they are happy that the person they lost is in a better place, but because they can no longer see and communicate with them directly, it is hard to cope with their death.

It's still sad if you know that you won't see the person in a really long time. Think of how you would feel if someome close to you moved far away. You know they would be safe, but you won't see them anymore for a while.
