I believe ghosts are sort of imprinted energy, memories, of a time and place. That's why they do same things over and over again.

I believe the other type are spirits and not limited to certain places.

Some people say that ghosts are the souls of people who are bound to a place because of something that happened in their life, or death. Some traumatic event, perhaps even the death itself. I am not aware of any examples of roaming ghosts. I did hear of one person that was followed to another residence by what was described as a "demon". I personally do not subscribe to mythology, christian or otherwise.

Hello =)

The Buddhist take on Ghosts is that they are dead relatives, who, because of various misconceptions, delusions, evil thoughts, words, and deeds, have been reborn as "hungry ghosts"...a pitiful state of suffering, but not a true punishment, as being reborn in hell would be.

Here is a marvelous poetic verse from Theravada Buddhism regarding "Hungry Shades"..that explains the sentiment far better than I ever could....

Outside the walls they stand,
and at crossroads.
At door posts they stand,
returning to their old homes.
But when a meal with plentiful food and drink is served,
no one remembers them:
Such is the kamma of living beings.

Thus those who feel sympathy for their dead relatives
give timely donations of proper food and drink
-- exquisite, clean --
[thinking:] "May this be for our relatives.
May our relatives be happy!"

And those who have gathered there,
the assembled shades of the relatives,
with appreciation give their blessing
for the plentiful food and drink:
"May our relatives live long
because of whom we have gained [this gift].
We have been honored,
and the donors are not without reward!"

For there [in their realm] there's
no farming,
no herding of cattle,
no commerce,
no trading with money.
They live on what is given here,
hungry shades
whose time here is done.

As water raining on a hill
flows down to the valley,
even so does what is given here
benefit the dead.
As rivers full of water
fill the ocean full,
even do does what is given here
benefit the dead.

"He gave to me, she acted on my behalf,
they were my relatives, companions, friends":
Offerings should be given for the dead
when one reflects thus
on things done in the past.
For no weeping,
no sorrowing
no other lamentation
benefits the dead
whose relatives persist in that way.
But when this offering is given, well-placed in the Sangha,
it works for their long-term benefit
and they profit immediately.

In this way the proper duty to relatives has been shown,
great honor has been done to the dead,
and monks have been given strength:

The merit you've acquired
isn't small.

Namaste, and Happy Holidays

Of course their mobile. The Bible calls them Demons and says they are the "princes of the air" and that they have bodies like a "cloudmass" and that they "live in desolate places." So, I wouldn't go to any empty, hollow buildings. I guess they just like the peace and quiet?

i do no longer think of you accompanied through with your logic. Who mentioned immaterial would desire to no longer be suitable to the fabric, or in basic terms accessed by ability of any fabric region (the immaterial being like a hub to the fabric) Oh and Fireball, wing is obstructing me too for no aparrent reason.
