You need to have love in your heart for God. Do you believe in his Son, Jesus? That he died for you? God knows what is in your heart. You can pray twenty times a day, but if your mind and heart isn't in it, it does you no good. Love is the key. Love God and you will want to talk to him in prayer, and in the end results you will have a relationship with your heavenly Father. I too am like your Dad and believe that we are in the last days.

Goody the scripture being quoted by the people who told your dad this was written 2000 years ago. People have been saying this continually for 2000 years. I am almost 60. There have been countless ends of the world predicted all the while I have been alive.

The day after each predicted end was just the same. The sun came up, the wind blew, people went to work, babies were born and moms and dads hugged their children.

The only thing that ever really happened was the people who were predicting the end looked pretty silly.

Understand that people can lie to adults too. Sometimes adults pass these lies on to others unknowingly. Your Dad loves you and thinks that he is helping you. Love him for this but don't worry about this end of the world stuff. Everything is going to be fine. You are going to grow up and have a happy life with a fine family of your own and maybe even a bunch of grand kids.

I promise. Trust an old grandpa who's been through so many of these end of the world stories that the can't even remember them all.

God loves you way to much to play games and send you here just to pull the rug out from under you. God wants to watch you play in the yard with your own kids.

Give your dad a kiss and tell him that you love him.

Love and blessings Don

1. Yes the world is going to end, read Revelation, the last book in the bible, that's where it mostly describes the last days.
2. You will certainly go to heaven if and only if you belive that Jesus died for you and repent of your sins (if you haven't done that). Never relly on your good deeds to get you into heaven, salvation is a GIFT.
3. To get close to God, read the Bible daily, and pray. You don't have to do it 5 times a day, the prophet Daniel, only prayed 3 times a day. But do pray daily.

Some muslims believe that murder in the name of a superior being will give them rewards in heaven. Some christians do too.
Everyone has a limited time on earth, so in effect, we all have always lived or are living the last days.
Jumping on the "closer to God" bandwagon just to save your soul is false, and God is smart enough to figure it out. If you want to change your ways and you are ready for it, it will occur naturally and you will not be stressed . Go with your heart, use your head. YOU ARE GOING TO BE FINE. The last thing any benevolent superior being might want is for you to live in fear.

even if the world is close to ending its not going to end in our lifetimes

and muslims do believe that if you pray 5 times a day you will go to heaven. unless you go out and murder people and then pray thinking you will go to heaven. but i dont think you have to worry about that.

Only God knows the exact days when it will end. When Jesus comes down you will know that it will end veryyy soon. All Muslims eventually go to heaven; so if you really believe in your heart to do good insha'ALlah (God willing) you'll be forgiven. Salam.

No, not in the general sense of the word. The AGE will end and the elements will melt

2Pe 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
2Pe 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
2Pe 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
2Pe 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

Let me hasten to add this also=
2Pe 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
2Pe 3:14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
2Pe 3:15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
2Pe 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
Take heed and following the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Matt 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Your dad needs to realise that people have been predicting the end of the world since time began.

In 1000AD people gave up their homes, property, everything to climb to the top of Mt Zion. They ended up going home a bit disappointed.

Don't worry.
