It is good to be there, When. you. can. You don't always have to talk. Bring your homework and do it there while she naps or rests. Read books aloud. Put lotion on her hands and feet for her. Tell her about what you see out the window. Just sit there.
You don't even have to stay long. If it is easy to get there pop in a couple of times to say hi. Also get to be friends with her family. Get them chairs and things to drink when they come while you are there.
BUT
The most important thing is to Keep on taking good care of your self and your life first or you will be more of a worry than a comfort. Read that sentence again slowly. She doesn't need to be worrying about you wearing yourself out and feeling guilty that you have no time for yourself because you are always there.
Maybe have one day a week that she can look forward to seeing you. Or arrange to call when it is known that someone can get the phone to her. Send cards. That also gives her something to look forward to and something to look at and know that you think of her.
Talk to a nurse about hospice, they specialize in helping the dying and helping the people that love the very ill person. They will give you counseling and support on how to best deal with all of this.
She is very fortunate to have you. Maybe you could get her a type of night light. also lip gloss is comforting to ill people. Take care

Try to spend time with her in the hospital. Nobody likes to be alone expecially if they think, or know, they are going to die. I know if I was in the hospital, I would want the person who loves me to be there for me. If I was alone that would be the worst thing in the world. Spend time with the girl you love. Who knows, maybe you'll both live healthy and happy lives together

If you are creative, perhaps you can write her a poem about when she is afraid, not to worry because you are holding her in your heart or something of that matter. Tell her to read it when she is scared.
...or take a picture of yourself with a cape (towel) on and give it to her and write, "I will always protect you, love (you)".
If it is ok with the hospital, you can buy a nice night light she can take to the hospital.

Spend as much time with her as you are able. I experienced the same situation. A few years after my girlfriend's discharge from the hospital we were married and enjoyed a satisfying 33 year marriage until her death from an incurable disease.

Even though you cant call her by cell or mobile phone, you can give her little love letters, call her from the hospital phone or visit her (if you cant get lift, catch the bus/train). make her a gift^^, write her a poem, ask her what her wishes may be. Perhaps she has the same wish as you- to get married when you are both older...hehe

Give her a teddy bear with your picture on it, a tape that has your voice on it talking to her or singing her a song that she can play and fall asleep to. You are a most extraordinary guy. I give you full credit in being with her and loving her the way you do. She is very fortunate in having you in her life even if it is only for a short while. You are giving her a fantastic gift... LOVE !! If you were older I would marry you. Keep her in your heart and let her know every minute that you love her.

wow this situation is all too familiar. My ex-boyfriend has a heart condition and I have cancer..I'll prob die but he was there for me by keeping me company when I was alone in the hospital. We would talk for hours..unfortunately he started ignoring me out of the blue and it broke my heart to pieces. Don't do this to your girl..send her flowers, cards, talk to her on the phone till she falls asleep. Just give her attention and affection..the secret to any girl's happiness..good luck

Spend as much time with her that you can, make her time in the hospital special and less scary. Go to Build a Bear and make her a special bear. Mostly be there for her and her family.

to help her, I'd give her a picture of myself so when she seems lonely all she has to do is look at the picture. Give her a card with so many signatures with people that she knows, and tell her that's how much people love her and says to get well soon. Give her things to remind her of you. Good Luck! and tell her i said hope she feels better soon! = )

Just spend time with her now. If she's going to die soon, you don't want to focus too much on the future.
