Crazy isn't it? I would never subject my child to a group that believes in supernatural beings. I mean c'mon we are in the year 2006!!!! There are people still believing in crap like that?? Invisible men in the sky. WOW. It just blows my mind. People who brainwash their children into believing this farce should be committed.

What you call brainwashing, we call teaching our children the way to grow up happy and healthy. We believe that to teach children the love of Jesus makes them better people.Teaching kids about Jesus and living by the Golden Rule is hardly the same as letting them near a paedophile. You are just trying to be rude and judgemental of Christians.

What do you mean? I am a Christian and a parent and all of my children are healthy, respectable, opinionated, and very educated. By being a christian they have been able to do things others will not be able to do. They get to learn about or lord God and his son and our savior Jesus Christ. No one has ever brainwashed my children. And what do you mean a local pedophile? You clearly are uneducated because you do not understand anything about being a christian... And being a christian has made me less controlling, more understanding, and a better parent. Do some research you'll be surprised.

What if your wrong? What if the truth claims of Christianity are in fact true? Then if you had a child and taught them your false worldview, that would be brainwashing.
Also there are non-religious groups attemtping to "brainwash" such as homosexual activists. They want to expose public school children to their alternative life style at an early age. Why? To forcefeed their agenda. I don't see you harping on them. You should at least be fair and not be so bigoted in your accusations. I hate that type of intolerance.

Not all Christian parents are bad. I hate to be cliche, but here I go anyway...There are bad apples in every basket. Makes no difference: Christian, Jew, Islamic, Hindu, Budhist, Agnostic, Athiest, and any others I may be overlooking. Also, not ALL pediphiles are Christian. That's a huge overgeneralization. Again, I use the bad apple cliche for them as well.
Any pediphile that tried to get near my kid would be a sorry one.

needless to say, extremes on the two sides are undesirable. yet oftentimes, i think of they could be. i'm uncertain what that's approximately Christianity that makes the religion so irritating approximately thinking and examining approximately different religions, yet quite many of the Christians i understand do no longer even evaluate different religions. they think of each faith believes their Bible is the be conscious. (heavily, i understand this from adventure.) I additionally do no longer understand (in my opinion) an single atheist that has any pastime in taking rights faraway from a particular team of people (like the gay community) by using fact they do no longer seem to be blinded via a faith or a e book and can see injustice while it delivers itself. They then show this skill to their toddlers. So, barring different factors like abuse and ignore, I consider that.

Yes, it is a bad parent who indoctrinates a child with their own personal beliefs. It is during childhood that a person's intellect is most open to manipulation. Give the child an education, expose them to the philosophy behind the various religions and let them come to an informed conclusion. Presenting a specific religion as anything akin to fact is lying to your child. If the child grows up and comes to a conclusion at odds with your beliefs, remember, he came to his conclusions based on knowledge and reasoning. How did you come to yours?

The Pope just addressed this:
""Why, is this the case? That is the great question. The answers are certainly extremely complex. But before seeking responses we must thank all those married couples who, even in our Europe today, say 'yes' to children and accept the labors they bring." Alongside the need to give them so much of our time, is the problem of "what norms must we teach our children in order for them to follow the right path, and, in doing so, to what extent must we respect their freedom?" "

Well you do have a point, but I don't think you can say that all Christians are pedophiles.
I do think that religious training that involves threats of punishment and eternal damnation should be outlawed till the kids are at least 18.
Love and blessings Don
