Depends on what you are going to do with it. There used to be a reliability difference, but not much anymore. All the full size trucks have great reliability, decent power, and similar advantages/disadvantages. The choice becomes subjective, but I've had many trucks and here's my observation:
If you drive it like a car and rarely haul anything heavy, the Chevy Silverado is the best choice - 21 mpg highway, soft & quiet ride, decent upper-end horsepower.
If you work the truck and haul heavy trailers, the Ford Super Duty gas engines or Dodge diesel are the best choices. More usable torque than any other pickup, regardless of what the ads say. Just look at the cattle auction parking lots to see what the farmers are using. Mileage will suck but that's what you get with a powerful workhorse. In this category, the foreign trucks have no offerings. They're just not built to be heavy duty machines and have no models over half-ton capacity.
The Dodge is the best looking truck on the road, and the most reliable diesel as well. The Cummins Turbodiesel has been in these trucks since the late 80s with very few changes. Meanwhile Ford completely changed the powerstroke twice and Chevy changed its diesels several times. The Duramax is the first diesel to not be an embarrasment to GM.
Longevity and warranty aside -- Any American made vehicle will be easier to work on in the US than an import, due to parts availability and dealer service networks. Count the dealerships on your next road trip then figure out which one you'd rather be in when it breaks away from home. Of course if you trade every 2 years then this probably won't be an issue.

The new 2007 Chevy Silverado is the first truck ever to reach over 300 horsepower while maintaining a highway EPA estimated fuel mileage of 20 MPG. Of all the trucks you asked about the Escalade is the most powerful with its standard engine (6.2 Liter V8). The next would be the Silverado with a Vortec Max package which includes the 6.0 I have driven a Dodge with the Hemi and was not impressed. The truck is a dog off the starting line. As far as reliability goes, Chevy is the most reliable pickup on the road and this is based on the longevity of registrations from 1981-2005. Bottom line, you can't go wrong with the General.

Being an American I would buy a Toyota, the Cars and trucks made in the U. S in the last few years is pure junk. and overpriced at that. But before you buy, do a lot of research if you wont to get the best for your hard earned money.

i do no longer remember the place I study it at, probably the Chevy internet site, yet I did see that the GM engineers had fastened the injector problems with the greater moderen engines. I even have been listening to no longer something yet sturdy comments on the recent engines. I even have an 03' LB7, no issues yet and that i like it! sturdy success.
