If so, why??

I'll expland a bit on my question ...

I am a teacher myself, I'm also Year Group Leader, Maths Co-ordinator and part of the Senior Management Team, so I don't lack ambition obviously!

Anyway, I have heard men express negative feelings towards teachers before, so I was just wondering if you all agreed, and if anyone could tell me what it is that is off-putting ...

By the way, I know I spelled 'expand' wrong - I hate the way you can't correct your spelling in the Additional Details section...

I am a teacher, and I did experience that.
But i think it was mostly because the guy doing a job where he didn't need as much qualification and eventually I stopped saying what my profession was..
It is weird, as for some guys it's great and others do avoid you as soon as they find out, as they felt they were not good enough for you.
Well, I think it does put some men off, so if I were you, I would be vague, unless the guy insists.

Why would it?

To have someone that understands what you do, that understands the stresses of being a teacher. Someone that can relate to the problems each encounters on a day to day basis.

All of this is a real positive to a relationship, & if you have similar interests socially, then I would say you've got a pretty good foundation for a successful relationship.

I find teachers to be opinionated, over-assertive, feminist, woolly liberal, Guardian-reading, non-make up wearing, frigid, poor, pedants. These are not the characteristics I seek in a woman. If you like that type of thing, then go for it, and good luck.

Heck no. Teachers, airline stewardesses, and bank women are my favorite women. Teachers make keep doing it till you get it done right.
Airline stewardesses say put this on your face and breath normally. Bank women say dont take it out or you will lose interest.

Hypothetical ages would help in answering this question. I'm 43 and it wouldn't put me off in the least bit.

My mom, grandma, aunt, uncle, and uncle's dad were all teachers. I wouldn't marry a teacher they have to little free time. Also care about stuff i dont like.

Not in the least. Actually would turn me on to think that she was that responsible to take all the time to educate herself in order to help others learn.

Yes, most teachers I have known have very little ambition.
