I am a 16 year old who is trying to find her vocation in life. I have a dream and a passion in life, however, i'm still trying desperately to figure out if that's what God wants me to follow or whether i have to do something else. I am extremely confused. Sometimes i think: If God didn't want me to follow my dream then why did he make me find my passion for this certain, competitive career? I need his help, and i'd like any advice on how to see and listen to the omens that he sends to us...

if God wants you to do something then He should have the common curtesy of telling you face to face.

I became a Christian when i was 15, i didn't really know what i wanted to do with my life. but i stuck with God the most loving person around at any time. and who better to talk to that the creator and guide of the whole universe!

Luke 18:1 "Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart"

I am very happy now under God, and i go on to university soon to carry on my goal of becoming a Graphics Developer. i understand that if i was still an atheist right now, i would still be going to university to do the same thing. except any joy i would have would come to an end. so i am Glad that i can talk to God when i want to, and he will always be listening and talking back!

If in doubt, Pray - God guides the world, and God loves you!

A lot of people believe in an almighty god. One who is concerned with every mundane thing in this life. I believe that god is within everyone of us. You have the power to persue your dreams. You sound like you know exactly what you want to do with your life. You are only 16. Concentrate on the education you will need to travel the path to your dream. God - whatever our interpretation - wants you to be happy and fulfilled. Do what you need to do to be happy. When you are 60, you don't want to be saying - I wonder how different my life would have been if I had persued my dream!!!! And remember, DREAMS ONLY COME TRUE IF WE WAKE UP AND WORK AT IT!!!!

Here is a parable for you think about it.
Man lived in a town near a Dam a flood was coming he heard it on the radio. He wanted God to tell him what to do. The radio said to get out now!
So neighbor came by said lets leave in My SUV the man said I am waiting for God to help me and tell me what to do.
The Neighbor left on his way.
The Dam broke it started to flood the town water was up to the guys house windows the deputy came by in a boat and said hop in lets go . The guy said No He wanted God to tell him what to do. The boat left the water got much higher the man climbed on his roof. The man sitting on his roof Helicopter came by says hang on will rescue you. The man said He wanted God to tell him what to do. So the man drowned and went to talk to God being very angry with him because he never told him what to do.

God said well I sent the Radio message the neighbor the deputy and the helicopter to rescue you To tell you what you what to do and you didn't listen.
You have to make a desion first for yourself and pray if it is right If it is right you will feel a warmth or tingle reassurance ,If it is right.
If wrong you will feel confused and know that means the answer is wrong or not right for you at this time.

God doesn't always draw us a detailed map. That's just the way it is for us humans. If you're really a 16 year old looking for help with the big questions please please get with somebody who cares about you and who you can trust. Internet forums can be fun but don't take them too seriously -- you don't know who you're talking to and there's some pretty creepy people with some pretty weird agendas. Have fun and be safe.

well, this question really depends on what the job that you desire is. if you think that by having it as your career wont please God, then try to utalize your passion or talents in a different form. if God really doesnt want you to have this job, he'll make it clear. try not to over think this issue, just trust God in giving you the oppurtiny to have the job He wants you to have.

God doesn't send omens. he doesnt send messages. He's more like a reason to be good all the time and not to hurt others. Like something to fear and keep you from doing evil deeds. Kinda like those signs that say "speed limit is camera enforced" its just to scare u to act good. anyways, you should do what u feel like doing and enjoy it. God doesn't create some purpose that you just HAVE to do. Do what you feel like you'd enjoy and what ever is best for you.

Well God will point you in the right direction. God will help you and keep you the way He wants you to be. He will be there for you. Pray to Him and ask Him to help you.

if something happens that causes you to not follow that dream or if it is something that you know that God wouldnt approve of, dont do it, but keep praying and try to find your calling.
