Why is it socially acceptable for a guy to date a younger girl, but when a girl dates a younger guy she seen seen as desperate?

Because people are jealous, or want to be like that girl, or wants that girl out. Also because if a girl dates a guy like a year younger it'll only look like she is desperate if she is taller than that guy. Good Luck!

actually women who date younger men are viewed as women that are like a mother to these younger guys, and yes it is also viewed as unacceptable, mainly because , its been like this for as long as anyone can remember. and when women date younger men, its like breaking the tradition. ...

As long as everyone is a mature and consenting adult. I don't think there is to much of a double standard anymore. And why worry about what others think anyway. Be happy as long as no one is getting hurt. And everyone is old enough to make the choice as an adult. Go for what you know. God bless****

thats not true alot of my friends that r girls date younger guys and alot of my guy friends date older girls and no1 thinks they r desperate idk where u live but thats just strange
