My husband is traveling with our son by himself and we are looking for a sturdy yet lightweight "stroller" for them to use. Our son is 5 years old and weighs about 50 pounds. They will be traveling overnight and I know that our son will be cranky and I don't want my husband to have to carry him all over the airport. Does anyone know where to find a good, reasonably priced older child stroller? Thanks much!

just get an umbrella stoller they are cheap and I know it will hold him because I still have mine in the garage and my kids play house with it like they are the mom and they take turns pushing each other around for fun. They are little, lightweight, and easy set up break down which is perfect for a husband, HA

by the time a child reaches 80 pounds I would hope they arent in a stroller anymore! thats ridiculous! my boyfriends son is almost 5 and only weighs 45 punds and most people dont put a 5 year old in a stroller anyway. I would go with the first one you definately dont need nothing to carry a 80 pound person.

My business has one. It has a 100lbs weight capacity. You can search within the site for other ones as well. I'll give you the log in information, that way you can see things for yourself without the hassle of someone trying to make you purchase something. Also, you can retain the info for future purchases.

once logged in, type BabyUniverse in the search box. Once you arrive at the site, look under "jogging strollers" there should also be some sale and clearance items.

Good luck. My son was pleasantly plump when he was younger, and we had to purchase a jogging stroller too!

Merry Christmas

If you know anyone who has a special needs child ask them to loan you their stroller. I work with an autistic child and they make really nice larger umbrella strollers. They are made from the same people who make baby strollers. They are callled maclaren majors and support up to 100lbs. They look just like a regular umbrella only a little bigger. and it doesn't look special needs either!

Too bad you don't live closer I have a single jogger stroller I need to sell. Since he is older..I would go for a jogger. The cheaper strollers will not hold the higher weight.
