Im a Jew that knows Messiah Jesus perfectly predicted Isaiah 52:13-53:12 to be exalted but first to die for our sins as an atonement for our sins.
there are some that still think he is coming -yet rejected Isaiah and truely arnt actually Jews -only by birth but not belief
since he is predicted to be born in Bethlehem though little among Israel, yet out of you shall come one from eternity. Micah 5:1&2
So without a messiah already God lied saying we have to have a blood atonement, and from Micah that our Messiah will have to be an arab-because Bethlehem has been given to the arabs and is off limits to Jewish people
there are the liberal Jews that have given up and say they are the Messiah trying to bring peace to the world-and reject
Isaiah 9:6 "Unto us a child is born, a son is given, and he will be the wonderfull counselor, the almighty God, the prince of peace"
thanks good question

Some Jews are actively awaiting Moshiach. Others figure it'll happen someday. Or not.
There's another interpretation though, that it's a 'Messianic Age' which should be sought. The idea behind this is that, rather than salvation through a single heroic figure, people will finally figure themselves out enough to act kindly towards each other. The first view reflects a world of monarchies and empires; the latter is an interpretation for a democratic age.

Yes! I believe the Messiah and God will be coming soon. I think the Messiah may already be here. Check out my question "Do you think that the birth of the Red Heifers born in the 1990's is proof that the Messiah is coming soon?" Please read the comment section. There is an important message for everyone.

As a Messianic Jew, I believe Jesus is the Messiah. However, Orthodox Jews believe that the messiah will come in the future. Some liberal Jews believe the messiah is not an actual person but a time of prosperity for Israel.

Yes, those who are religous believe that the messiah will come.
And to answer David A, his statement that those Jews who do not believe in Jesus are only Jews by birth but not beleif is highly obnoxious. I say that because he probably knows very well that Jesus, and all attendant concepts, have never been Jewish beleifs and are thoughroughly Christian. To label them Jewish and to castigate all Jews who do not follow such beleifs as "Jews in birth only", which, BTW, includes all believing Jews (in Judaism!) and all of his ancestors, is horrible.

Jewish people are the race through which God wrote the story of his creation, love and redemption. Christ was born through this lineage. He wanted to show His love even to a race of people who many times disobeyed him.
They were under severe repression by the Roman rulers - that is why they wanted a Messiah to deliver them from bondage. They did not know that the Messiah who came - came not for their deliverance from the Romans, but for the deliverance of the whole world from the bondage of sin and its consequences. The Bible said the payment of sin is death ( eternal separation from the creator and the glorious place he prepared for us ).
But the Bible also explained that God killed His own son to pay for the sins of the whole world, but He used the Jews to send him to the cross by hardening their hearts. Our Holy and Almighty God
said that the Jews will have to spend years of suppression and animosity for their role in the crucifixion of Christ, and so He promised to deliver Israel in the end. Our God warns whoever curses the Jews will be cursed. So, beware all who commit this sin - God never breaks His promise. THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM>
