Wow , It's so strange that you ask this question , My sister and I were just laughing about this very thing. Even though it's been forever ago , We got to make whatever we wanted using toothpicks ( the flat one ) and glue.. Everyone had a piece of wood to start our project on.. It was not just a one or two day thing either .. It was about a 2-3 weeks project , It was a big deal, to most of the class as well as I can remember .. each day in art we worked on our masterpieces, and then of course you would go to your next class , and leave your art to dry .. I can say that was the only time I really couldn't wait to get to that class.. We got to paint them when we were finished.. I made a pyramid type thing , Painted it blue ,, Will never forget it .. I loved that piece of art and kept it for many years ..
Now that was a Great Question !!

Probably when I was in 3rd grade, we had to make an autobiography of ourselves. Mine was so cute! My mom helped me put it together. We found cute pictures, and she typed it up on the computer. We printed it out. Then since my parents had a Fundraiser Dinner to go to, my nanny and I went to Kinko's to get it laminated and hole punched. Then we tied baby blue satin ribbon through the holes. It looked SO good. That was a good day. I loved 3rd grade. I'm in 7th grade now...the good old days...3rd grade...*sigh*

We drew then painted a jungle scene with watercolors basically on a brilliant sheet of white paper (atleast criminal sized) and then we took ink pads of a number of colorings (pink, crimson, blue, green ect.) and used our thumbs to place the thumb prints the place we mandatory human beings. We then took a black marker and drew uncomplicated palms, legs, and faces on our thumb prints. It became a especially relaxing and remarkable undertaking.
