Stand closer to the ball.
think about what you are doing on the driving range, and just let it happen on the course. IE don't think too much while playing a round, just try and let it happen. Do a lot of thinking when your out there playing for millions of $.
do things like meditation, yoga, tia chi, stuff like that and it will help you greatly in golf.
become more flexible.
stetch before playing.
visualize
clear your mind of any negetive thought before hitting the ball.
HAVE FUN!
if you are a new plyr, advice I could give would be to find a grip that your comfortable with. For example I seem to hit it better with an interlocking pinky and forefinger, but I much prefer the feel of the overlapping pinky to forefinger. When I start hitting shots bad I revert back to an interlocking grip. Grip pressure is very important. as is grip placement . Your grip is so vital to a good swing. Most amateurs do not know this.

Oh definitely man When you become an avid golfer the little things make all the difference I have many examples. I was told to bend my knees a little less i tried it made me stand a little taller improved my postures and freed my hip turn. By simply playing the ball back in your stance about 2 inches it promotes hands ahead contact a slightly flatter swing plane and a more piercing draw trajectory. There are many small tips the actually do very comp-lex things stance and placement of your feet meaning flared or square can make a huge difference in the Resistance of your hip turn overall balance depending on your body type. Once you become a decent golfer the little things make all the difference when IT comes to adapting and adjusting your swing for different conditions.

A few months ago I read two tips that helped me a lot: One, keep your back turned to the hole as long as you can; two, keep your left arm, wrist and hand fairly rigid and hit the ball with your left side. Try to keep your right hand and shoulder out of the swing as much as possible. My handicap went from 8 to 6.
Overall, swing slower than what you normally would. The ball goes just as far with better accuracy. Good luck.

Hello.
Well I think for different people it depends on what they need to work on.
For me I have to work on keeping the same swing plane, and same routine for every shot, from drive to approach, beware of what your body is doing, your hand position and ball position.
Remember when you have made a decent shot think of what you just did and try to copy the swing and routine every time.

On chipping follow through even on short chips. just change the amount of your backswing. nothing screws up a shot like hitting the ball then trying to put on the brakes to slow the club down it will be inconsistant.
good luck

keep your head down when swinging, even putting...
also, make sure you get full use of the hips. I didnt discover my true golf swing until i learned to rotate them in the backswing and follow thru.

focus on your hips, and keep your mind clear. The greatest players of today know that if they lose their head, they lose their game. Keep focus, and power through keeping everything you know in your swing and not adding a little extra thinking that it will get you a better shot or a better position, cause it wont. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't drink until you finish the final hole. Made a major improvement in my game and I don't lose near as much money.
