Groomers are NEVER supposed to cut off a dog's whiskers. They are there for a reason. Cutting off your dog's whiskers is very uncomfortable for your dog. Dogs use their whiskers to sense their surroundings.
Next time your boyfriend wants to cut your dogs whiskers off, tell him to cut off his eye-lashes because you think he will look better.

cutting a dogs whiskers is bad in some cases, they use them like cats to feel around. I know bc my brother used to cut them off and we took our dog to the vet and he said that was extremely bad and we should never do it again. but it never did any harm on it. I don't know about how it makes a dog look better though

i wouldnt suggest cutting ur dog's whiskers because those whiskers are used to enhance their senses....why diminish a dog's senses just to make it look pretty, its a dog! but i guess that's what happens when u live in a superficial environment

The sensing whiskers that are kind of wiry? That's not good, because they use it to smell or something, but the hair around the muzzle? I wouldn't think it was bad. Groomers do it.

whiskers help dogs it helps them keep balance and it tells them how small of holes they can crawl throw tell him to knock it off or ask ur vet my cat got her whiskers cut off and she couldn't balance worth crap
