You don't have to give her a gift. Just say thank you. It is very common for bosses to give gifts to their employees without getting gifts in return.
I have heard this saying in offices: "You don't gift up!"
It would be more awkward if you were to give her a gift now. She doesn't expect a gift now, she was just showing her appreciation for a job well done.

This is BAD... How do you feel about her? Is it important that you not hurt her feelings? You might go online and order flowers or chocolates. There are a number of people that would just appreciate a hug and a MERRY CHRISTYMAS! I don't know anything about her but you could take her out to lunch and just talk about her family and yours. That might be the best gift that anybody gives her this year. In any case, have a Merry Christmas with friends and family.

Just give her a late Christmas present. Tell her you are sorry it took so long and that you have been really busy. Or you could hit her on the head and tell her that it is actually Dec.10th and she will be receiving a present on Christmas day. hahaahahahahaa!

its not really necessary for you to give your boss something, that's why they are the "boss" they can afford to get their staff something, but if you feel that guilty, then why not get him/her something. Maybe a giftcard from a local restaurant, 25 bucks from tgifriday's is not a bad idea, and at least he/she can go eat with someone instead of alone.....Have a happy holidays and don't feel bad, be glad you have a nice boss that got you something for the season's.
take care

Don't worry about it. It's not that appropiate for bosses to receive gifts anyway. Do a good job for her and that's special enough.
